A studio built around yellow: velvet, honeycomb tile and yellow-framed glass screens that fold back to turn one room into two.

The folding screens are the plan. Closed, they separate the bed from the sitting area; open, the studio is one room with the kitchen at one end. Their frames are the same yellow as the sofa and the hexagon tile behind the hob, so the divider reads as furniture rather than as a wall.

Behind the bed, two arches are filled with climbing greenery and lit from above, and a pair of yellow shell armchairs sits by the window. A black-framed mirror wall doubles the living room. The bathroom answers in the opposite key — cream fluted tile, a round mirror, a grey-green cabinet — and the entrance is sage, with an arched mirror and a bench.
