Magheru 46

Status: Completed

An apartment where walnut does the work: a panelled wall behind every bed, a full kitchen, and joinery that turns each corner into a desk or a wardrobe.

The plan is opened into one long room — kitchen, dining table and sofa in a line — with a black-framed interior window borrowing light for the bedroom. A heavily veined dark stone runs behind the hob, and a black and white checkerboard rug anchors the round table and its walnut-backed chairs.

The bedrooms are quieter: tall walnut panels behind the beds, sage linen, slim wall lights instead of lamps, round mirrors over walnut desks and a striped rug in the second room. The bathrooms are speckled stone with brass showers, walnut vanities and backlit mirrors, and the balcony has room for two chairs and the city opposite.
